100 recipes are veggie-forward in this cookbook. It also provides lessons to put these dishes in our weekly recipe rotation. Cara Mangini is the Vegetable Butcher! She knows the importance of education in vegetable cooking. Examples of recipes in “The Vegetable Eater : The New Playbook for Cooking Vegetarian” are fabulous salads, vegetable paella, and frittatas.

Are you a bourbon fan? You will have to pick up this cookbook. Edward Lee is obsessed with bourbon. He generously shares some of his favorite recipes and even an inside look at famous distilleries. There are 50 recipes from Bourbon-Glazed Chicken Wings to Bourbon and Butterscotch. This is a unique look at how multifaceted bourbon is as an ingredient.

He showcases traditional Korean dishes and Western dishes with flair. I am a fan of gochujang cookies! I can’t wait to check this cookbook out.

This cookbook is coming out just in time for summer. Steven Raichlen is a barbecue master, so if you want to learn how to grill the perfect bird you’ll need this cookbook. There are more than 50 grilling recipes, some are also beer-free. Raichlen includes step-by-step instructions for a variety of grill methods. Whatever your technique, this cookbook will be a great resource. 

Fermented Vegetables, 10th Anniversary Edition: Creative Recipes for Fermenting 72 Vegetables, Fruits, & Herbs in Brined Pickles, Chutneys, Kimchis, Krauts, Pastes & Relishes, by Kirsten K. Shockey + Christopher Shockey

Are you thinking about growing a vegetable garden this year? I know I am! What I don’t know is what to do with all the vegetables I don’t use by the time autumn rolls around. This is where fermentation comes in! This cookbook provides recipes for over 72 different vegetables and fruits. We see four different fermenting methods and an emphasis on zero waste. This is an excellent cookbook to have on hand if you enjoy pickling and fermenting!

This cookbook shares a ton of menu items for important Jewish holidays around the world! There is a Ukrainian-Mexican Seder, an Iraqi spread for Purim. You will also find a memorable Hanukkah tale of grandmothers competing in a doughnut duel. Each dish is served with the soul of what’s served in a Jewish home on a Jewish holiday.

 

The Book of Pintxos: Discover the Legendary Small Bites of Basque Country, by Marti Buckley 

Spanish food is iconic! There are so many unique flavors and culinary techniques used in Spain. In this cookbook, we focus on pintxos. These are snacks that you can typically find at bars. They consist of small slices of bread where an ingredient or mixture of ingredients is placed with a toothpick. “pintxos,” means “spike!”  There are 70 different pintxos recipes in this cookbook. In addition, you will find histories, photos, and a ton of bar profiles from Spain.
