Cookbook Divas is a cookbook preview blog, cookbook podcast, cookbook live shopping show, and cookbook video show.

At this time, we do not accept self-published or crowdfunded cookbooks for review.

We specialize in what we call “cookbook look throughs” that help cookbook buyers get an idea what the inside of your cookbook looks like. We also work to cover cookbook news, update our readers on new cookbook releases coming out throughout the year, and also delve into our cookbook libraries for retro and vintage cookbooks to explore.

We do not “review” cookbooks in that we do not cook or bake recipes from them. Instead, we “preview” and curate news about cookbooks.

We create content about cookbooks in several ways:

• “Meal Plan Monday” livestreams on Amazon, Facebook and Youtube simulcasts

• Facebook links to other people’s cookbook reviews and cookbook news
• Facebook links to our own blog posts and videos
• A Cookbook Divas Book Club where we read historical novels on the topics of cooking and kitchens
• Cookbook Divas Podcast (one weekly episode and one weekly minisode)

Because our medium is so visual, we only review cookbooks that have substantial amounts of color photographs in them. We generally do not preview paperback cookbooks. We also do not do author interviews – it’s just not our skill set!

We accept NetGalley and Edelweiss advance copies for review, but results are best if we have a physical copy of your cookbook to flip through quickly on video and to hold up to the camera to talk about in our cookbook review videos.

We are eager to present “sneak peeks” and thus prioritize not-yet-published cookbooks in our video and blog review schedule. Already-published cookbooks may take up to a month to be featured on our show, our Reels, our blog and/or our podcast.

Review Policy: 

We are passionate and excited about cookbooks and strive to leave only positive reviews. (We are more of “previewers” than “reviewers.”) Occasionally when we are looking through cookbooks on camera, we complain if there are not many high quality color photographs accompanying the recipes. Some of our reviewers are vegetarian and thus “skip over” the meat chapters of your cookbooks a bit too quickly, but we encourage our viewers and readers to check them out if they are interested in cooking meat.

Should we encounter a cookbook we do not enjoy or cannot recommend, we will not post a review of said cookbook.

As a reminder, we do not accept or preview self-published or Kickstarter cookbooks. We prefer to preview hardcover cookbooks whenever possible, as well.
