I’ve said it before, but I am a massive Anthony Bourdain fan. I was raised on Parts Unknown and he really did inspire me throughout my college days. I try to look at the world in the same light as he did. I would rather walk through a random neighborhood meeting the locals than visit main tourist attractions. Bourdain showed us the nooks and crannies of these popular destinations. He was a true adventurer!
I wanted to showcase the new Bourdain: The Definitive Oral Biography (affiliate link; via Amazon) book for other Anthony Bourdain admirers. Even though this isn’t a cookbook, Anthony Bourdain is a very notable chef. We will occasionally show chef biographies on Cookbook Divas. I knew we couldn’t miss this one!
Here in Bourdain: The Definitive Oral Biography (affiliate link; via Amazon) we get a glimpse into Bourdain’s life through the stories and memories of his loved ones. Almost one hundred people have contributed to this book. That includes some of his kitchen crew, television partners, his daughter, close friends, etc. Together we get a rich illustration of Anthony Bourdain’s life and his work.
