I’ve been waiting for the right time to talk about another one of my favorite Great British Bake Off contestants, Kim-Joy! I love how she combines different heritages together to create one magnificent treat. Her strengths were always how to make her bakes look adorable and scrumptious. This cookbook is solely for the dessert makers in your family. She begins with cookies and cakes then works her way to meringues, macarons, and breads. She ends with little treats for snacking either before or after Christmas dinner. The recipes range from incredibly easy to more complex – it is perfect for all levels of baking.
One of the more notable things about this cookbook are the delightful pictures. The colors are fun and vibrant, which matches the themed desserts. These will inspire all kinds of creativity. I’m already imagining creating a whole North Pole Village entirely from Kim-Joy’s cookbook.
Thankfully she provides many tips and tricks throughout the book to make baking easier. Some of these desserts require delicate hands and can look intimidating, but with Kim-Joy’s positive nature encouraging us, anything is possible!
