Today I’ve spent a pleasant morning researching the fantastic cookbooks coming out from Hardie Grant for Spring 2026. Take a look and see if you find any that especially call to you.

Beatrix Bakes: The Special Ruby-Embellished 15th Anniversary Edition, by Natalie Paull (March 24, 2026)
To celebrate the 15th anniversary of the Beatrix Bakes bakery, Natalie Paull offers this updated edition of her cookbook. Inside, the chapters feature doughs, pastries and crusts; tarts, pies and a galette; cakes; yeasted bakes; hand pies; bakes full of fruit; plus creams, custards, fillings and glazes.

Here are veggie-forward recipes from an Australian chef, including salads, soups, sides and mains.

Here’s another Australian cookbook. This one is a baking book with cakes, puddings, creme brulee, tiramisu and other sweet desserts and treats.

Full Belly: Recipes and Stories from a Family Farm, by Amon Muller and Jenna Muller (March 10, 2026)
For everyone dreaming of the farmhouse lifestyle, here’s a lovely cookbook from Full Belly Farm in California. Recipes are arranged seasonally.

I Want to Eat Cake: Over 90 Recipes for Snacking, Celebrating, and Everything in Between, by Giovanna Torrico (April 7, 2026)
This cake baking book includes layer cakes, mug cakes, one bowl cakes, cake pops and more.

Lido: Recipes and Stories from Italy’s Beach Clubs, by Melissa Pellegrino and Matthew Scialabba (March 17, 2026)
I don’t know anything about Italian beach clubs and I can’t wait to learn more! This coffee table style cookbook offers 60 recipes, from appetizers through desserts. I have a feeling this cookbook will both chase away the gray of March in Seattle and also make me long for an Italian journey I can’t currently afford!

Lourinha: Iberian and Mediterranean Dishes to Share, by Jo Gamvros and Matt McConnell (February 24, 2026)
I’m looking forward to this “bar food” cookbook, featuring recipes from Greece, Italy, Portugal and Sicily. Recipes include snacks and appetizers. The authors run a bar in Melbourne, Australia featuring tasty bar food like this.
Lunchbox Bible: Your Go-to Guide for Building a Balanced Lunchbox, by Julia Tellidis (April 21, 2026)
The nutritionist who wrote the incredibly popular “Baby Food Bible” brings us 75 simple, quick and healthy lunches for kids. There are also tips on leftovers and avoiding food waste.

Modern Australian Baking: Sweet, Savoury, Seasonal & Native, by Christopher Thé (March 3, 2026)
This Australian baking book is by the baker behind Hearthe cake shop and cafe and the founder of Blackstar Pastry, known for the world’s most instagrammable cake (Strawberry watermelon). This new baking book is a masterclass in baking breads, pastries, and cakes, with 80 recipes for sweet and savory bakes.

More Than Sweet: Desserts with Flavor, by Marie Frank (April 14, 2026)
Here are 75 approachable but also elevated recipes for fantastic desserts. The author adds interesting flavor combinations that utilize herbs, spices, and liqueurs. There’s a flavor chart inside, and recipes for cakes, frozen desserts, biscuits, tarts, and creamy desserts like puddings and creme fraiche.

Plat du Tour: Over 70 Timeless Regional French Recipes, by Guillaume Brahini (May 26, 2026)
The author is a TV presenter who gives us 80 recipes from all over France, from Normandy to Paris to Provence. The recipes are made suitable for our home kitchens.

Sáng: Recipes from a Korean Family Table, by Kenny Son (March 24, 2026)
This Korean cookbook presents over 100 recipes from diverse Korean cooking traditions. The cookbook’s author is a restaurateur, running Sang by Mabasa restaurant in Sydney, Australia. The cookbook begins with information on Korean cooking techniques and the Korean pantry, then continues with chapters on sides, feasts and celebrations, late night snacks and nibbles, and restaurant favorites.

Sheet-Pan Meals: Easy, Comforting Recipes for Every Meal of the Day, Every Season of the Year, by Jessica Darakjian (April 21, 2026)
Here are 100 easy, stress-free recipes you can make on a sheet pan. There are seasonal recipes, and dishes for every meal of the day. The cookbook also includes desserts you can make with minimal cleanup required!

Soomaaliya: Food, Memory, and Migration, by Ifrah Ahmed and Ifrah F. Ahmed (March 24, 2026)
Here’s a Somali cookbook, featuring oft-used spices: black pepper, cumin, cinnamon, coriander, cardamom, cloves, and turmeric. The 75 recipes include many French and Italian inspired dishes such as beignets and tomato sauces. There are many rice dishes I’m looking forward to making. The cookbook includes profiles of Somalian food writers, chefs and food producers.
